Feb 24,2025Heat treatment plays a vital role in the post-processing process of MY10 series PBT filaments. This process can effectively adjust the crystallinity and molecular chain arrangement structure of MY10 series PBT through heating operation, thereby significantly affecting the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the material. Appropriate heat treatment temperature and time can not only promote the rearrangement and crystallization of MY10 series PBT molecules, improve the density and strength of the material, but also effectively eliminate the internal stress generated during the spinning process, thereby enhancing the dimensional stability and fatigue resistance of the material. During the heat treatment process, the temperature and time must be strictly controlled to prevent the material from being degraded due to excessively high temperature, or the expected treatment effect cannot be achieved due to too low temperature.
As another common method for post-processing of MY10 series PBT filaments, stretching treatment can form a more ordered structure through the directional arrangement of molecular chains, thereby significantly improving the strength and modulus of the material. Stretching treatment can be carried out immediately after spinning or after heat treatment. During the stretching process, the stretching ratio and stretching speed must be accurately controlled to ensure that the material does not break or deform excessively during the stretching process. In addition, the use of multi-stage stretching process can further optimize the performance of MY10 series PBT, making it more excellent in strength and dimensional stability.
Forming treatment is an indispensable part of the post-processing process of MY10 series PBT filaments. This process significantly improves the dimensional stability and wrinkle resistance of the material by maintaining the shape and size of the filament under specific temperature and tension conditions. During the shaping process, it is necessary to select appropriate shaping temperature and tension to ensure that the material does not undergo thermal degradation or excessive shrinkage during this process. At the same time, shaping treatment can also improve the feel and gloss of MY10 series PBT filaments, making them more in line with the application requirements of high-end textiles.
Surface modification is another important means to improve the performance of MY10 series PBT filaments. Through surface modification, the surface properties of MY10 series PBT filaments, such as hydrophilicity, antistatic properties and anti-pollution properties, can be significantly improved. Common surface modification methods include plasma treatment, chemical impregnation and coating technologies. Plasma treatment can introduce polar groups on the surface of MY10 series PBT filaments to improve their hydrophilicity and adhesion; chemical impregnation can introduce specific functional groups on the surface of MY10 series PBT filaments to give them specific properties; and coating technology can form a protective film on the surface of MY10 series PBT filaments to enhance their wear resistance and anti-pollution properties.
